The pistol as fetish object, flashy colours, ultra-shiny surfaces and a particular way of using the support of each piece all characterize Sophie Tangira's work. In her series [ Safe and Soft ], she associates the idea of power inherent in the pistol with its superficiality as an object. Here she uses a toy to seduce the viewer, playing with images bound to modern society in a way that defines the starting point of her artistic approach.
