Biography

Ingrid Baars (The Netherlands, 1969) lives and works in Antwerp.

She holds a diploma in photography and illustration from the Willem de Kooning Academy (Rotterdam). She has taken part in numerous exhibitions since 1999 and has been nominated for and awarded several prizes, including those awarded by the London Photographic Association for her "L'Afrique c'est Chic!" series (2011) and by the Color Awards USA (2011). Her most recent exhibitions include: "L'Afrique c'est Chic!" (Rademakers Gallery, 2012); "Neekid black gurls" (Rush Arts Gallery, New York, 2011); "ScreenSirenArtistLover" (V!P Gallery, Rotterdam, 2010).
